Tube testing equipment helps locate leaks and verify tube-to-tubesheet or individual tube integrity in heat exchangers, condensers, and boilers. Justram’s current range includes Elliott RECON and EST G-series guns for pressure or vacuum testing, including single-ended and tubesheet-joint applications.
Vacuum leak-test guns are well suited to a relatively small number of tubes or a small range of tube sizes. The operator presses the gun against the tube opening to seal its conical fitting; one conical seal can cover a broad range of tube diameters. Pressure test guns use the supplied air to expand a seal, reducing operator fatigue when hundreds or thousands of tubes must be tested. They require seals matched to the tube’s size and gauge. Select the method and gun for the tube dimensions, access, service, procedure, and required pressure or vacuum conditions.
