Tri Tool 300STS Tube Squaring Machines

Tri Tool 300STS-1 and 300STS-2 tube squaring machines prepare tube ends for autogenous welding using OD saddle clamping and an inline feed collar. Choose the model, saddle and drive for the tube size, wall thickness and available straight clamping length.

300STS tube-end preparation for welding

Tri Tool 300STS tube squaring machines face tube ends for weld preparation in compact work areas. OD saddles hold the tube while the cutting head and inline feed collar control the facing operation. The selected saddle, tool bit and drive must suit the tube and required end preparation.

Maximum wall thickness0.125 in (3.2 mm)0.200 in (5.1 mm)
Listed standard straight clamping length0.60 in (15.2 mm)0.875 in (22.2 mm)
Short-perch clamping option0.19 in (4.8 mm), with suitable saddle0.19 in (4.8 mm), with suitable saddle
Drive optionsCorded electric or cordless electric; confirm motor, voltage, battery and charger configuration

The 300STS-2 range above follows Tri Tool’s current published specification of 2.500 in maximum OD. Confirm the required saddle and supplied machine configuration for the actual tube size, especially for a short tangent or fitting.

Saddles, feed and cutting tools

Standard and short-perch saddles provide different clamping arrangements. Specify the actual tube OD and straight length available beside the end to be faced. The saddle system holds the tube and reacts machining torque; setup must follow the applicable operating instructions.

The cutting head accepts compatible Tri Tool DURABIT tooling. Select the facing bit for the machine, material and required finish. Variable-speed electric drives and the inline feed collar allow the operator to adjust the cut for the workpiece and tool condition.
