Tri Tool 600 RBL-G2 Clamshells

Tri Tool 600 RBL-G2 clamshells mount around in-line pipe for severing and beveling. Compare the listed model ranges and select the drive, mounting pads and tool modules for the actual OD, wall thickness and required end preparation.

Split-frame lathes for pipe severing and beveling

Tri Tool 600 RBL-G2 clamshells use an OD-mounted split frame and adjustable roller-bearing system for machining in-line pipe. Suitable tooling allows severing and beveling in one setup, subject to material, wall thickness, tool reach and available power.

These are individual model ranges, not an uninterrupted 7–60 in range for one machine. The listed 648RBL and 660RBL are larger RBL models rather than G2 model designations. Ask Justram about dimensions outside the listed ranges.

The 616RBL-G2 starts at 10.750 in actual OD, corresponding to 10 in nominal pipe. Always specify actual OD when selecting the machine and mounting arrangement. Tube applications and special mounting requirements need model-specific review.

Wall thickness, drives and tool modules

Confirm wall thickness against the selected model and cutting procedure. Published 2.5 in (63.5 mm) wall references apply to specified configurations; larger walls, deep severing or compound preparations require tooling and procedure review.

Drive availability differs by model. RBL-G2 options include pneumatic, hydraulic, electric and servo arrangements where offered. The larger RBL machines have their own drive and housing options, so confirm the proposed package and available power.

Accessory enquiries include counterbore modules, OD tracking for out-of-round pipe, extended-reach tool modules and compatible carbide severing holders. Tooling must suit the material, such as carbon steel, stainless steel, nickel alloy or non-ferrous pipe, and the required bevel profile.
