Tri Tool large 600 SB clamshells use OD-mounted split frames and sliding bearings for pipe severing and beveling. Select the model, mounting pads, drive and tool modules for the measured pipe OD, wall thickness and available clearance.
Large SB clamshells for pipe end preparation
Tri Tool 600 SB clamshell pipe cutting machines mount around existing pipe for machining during fabrication, maintenance, component replacement and decommissioning work. The sliding-bearing split frame supports severing and beveling with tooling selected for the material and end preparation.

Each model has its own mounting and tooling range. The list is not continuous coverage by one machine. The 616SB lower reference of 12 in nominal pipe corresponds to 12.750 in actual OD. Provide measured OD when requesting a machine or mounting pads.
Wall thickness and machining accessories
The existing large SB listing gives a 2.5 in (63.5 mm) wall reference for the listed models. Confirm the allowable wall, tool reach and cutting procedure for the material and configuration. Simultaneous severing and beveling depend on tool modules, power and preparation geometry.
Accessory enquiries include counterbore modules, OD tracking for out-of-round pipe and other machining attachments. Specify the bevel angle, land, counterbore dimensions and any compound preparation on a drawing.
Drive and clearance selection
Pneumatic and hydraulic drive arrangements are available for appropriate large SB configurations. Confirm supply flow and pressure, the installed drive and any hose or conditioning equipment required. Check the rotating tool envelope as well as the stationary frame when reviewing radial and axial clearance.
