Purge Bladders for Heated Pipe Work
Argweld® HotPurge® Inflatable Pipe Weld Purge Systems for Heat-Treated Pipework have been developed so that pre-heating, welding and post weld heat treatment can be carried out with the purge system in place.
Using the latest IntaCal® and PurgeGate® technology to inflate the dams, purge the weld zone with the guarantee that the purge dams cannot burst through over pressurisation. In addition RootGlo® can be used for accurate positioning of the system precisely under the joint.
Argweld® HotPurge® Heat Resistant Inflatable Pipe Weld Purging Systems come with an innovative central band for easy positioning inside the pipe. This RootGlo® band will gather light prior to placing into the pipe and will glow for many hours of use.
The welder can position these systems prior to pre-heating and leave them in place throughout the pre-heating, welding and post-heat treatment cycles, allowing the weld to be purged continuously for up to 24 hours.

RootGlo®, a highly luminescent central band for easy positioning and easy view through weld root. RootGlo® absorbs enough energy during daylight hours to provide up to 12 hours of luminiscence inside the pipe.
IntaCal®, a streamlined, neat, clean and controlled method of releasing purge gas into the weld root space.
PurgeGate®, a unique and revolutionary method to provide infinite flow control and to prevent the inflatable dams from bursting, all to provide the user with super high speed welding of joints that have to be purged.
The dimensions between the dams vary from 28-36”. In the event that you order your HotPurge® Systems for working with bends in the pipework then the dimensions will be greater.
