Tri Tool 214B Pipe Bevelling Machine

The Tri Tool 214B BEVELMASTER is an ID-mounted pipe end-preparation machine for facing, bevelling and counterboring. The standard mandrel covers 3.310–13.688 inches ID (84.0–347.6 mm), with machining up to 14 inches OD (355.6 mm). Justram can specify the drive, mandrel and tool holders for your weld preparation.

Pipe end preparation with the 214B

The 214B uses a single standard mandrel across its mounting range. Open tool holders provide a view of the cut, and suitable tooling allows facing, beveling and counterboring in one setup. Mandrel torque-key adjustment helps control play; a worm-gear drive transmits the cutting load.

Standard machine specifications

SpecificationValue
Standard mounting ID3.310–13.688 in (84.0–347.6 mm)
Maximum machining OD14.000 in (355.6 mm)
Axial feed travel2.000 in (50.8 mm)
Current listed wall limit: air drive1.406 in (35.7 mm)
Current listed wall limit: electric or hydraulic drive1.320 in (33.5 mm)
Air supply85 cfm at 90 psi (621 kPa)
Listed weight with air motor80 lb (approximately 36 kg)

These current manufacturer specifications are configuration-dependent. Confirm the supplied machine, tool holders, material and operation; a wall limit is not a guarantee for every bevel profile. Electric and hydraulic packages have different utility requirements and weights.

Optional machining and mounting attachments

The following accessory ranges are listed for application selection. Verify the exact kit and compatibility with the supplied machine.

OptionListed range
Single-point extension8.20–24 in machining OD (208.3–609.6 mm); listed wall capacity up to 2.34 in (59.4 mm), subject to procedure review
Flange-facing attachment3.44–24 in diameter (87.4–609.6 mm)
Elbow mandrel3.31–13.12 in ID (84.1–333.2 mm)
Miter mandrel3.82–12.39 in ID (97.0–314.7 mm)
Three-jaw or miter-mandrel extension6.10–23.50 in ID (154.9–596.9 mm)
ID tracking attachmentMinimum 4.49 in ID (114.0 mm)

Size-specific sleeve mandrels are an option for thin-wall pipe. Specify the nominal pipe size, actual ID and OD, wall thickness and marking restrictions so Justram can identify the suitable sleeve kit.

Choose tooling for the material and weld profile

Form tools or carbide-insert setups are selected for the required cut. Provide details of carbon steel, stainless steel, chrome alloys or copper-nickel work, and request procedure review for Inconel or other high-temperature alloys. Include the bevel drawing, counterbore dimensions and available end clearance in your enquiry.
