Climax BW3000 Auto Bore Welder

CLIMAX BW3000 automated step bore welder with centralized controls, reversible rotation, auto-skip, pie mode and carriage return. Choose the axial travel, torch kit and wire-feeder arrangement for the bore and repair procedure.

The CLIMAX BW3000 Auto Bore Welder uses adjustable step welding for suitable bore build-up and repair. Centralized controls allow the operator to adjust welding and positioning settings while monitoring the process.

Torch coverage and configuration

The published 0.50–54-inch ID welding range spans multiple torch configurations. Select the torches, extensions, support and rotation setup for the actual bore diameter and depth. Do not assume the entire range is included in one standard package.

Control of weld placement

Adjustable step controls bead placement. Auto-skip and pie mode support selected weld areas, while carriage return and reversible rotation provide additional control for the welding orientation. Set these functions to suit the repair procedure and workpiece.

The offset head permits torch adjustment while retaining its angle. Weld quality and final machining effort depend on the material, preparation, settings and procedure; no fixed productivity gain applies to every repair.

Wire feeder, power source and mounting

Confirm the compatible CV welding power source, remote-control connection and wire feeder. Available feeder and push/pull options require selection for the wire and application.

A suitable interface kit allows mounting with the BB5000 line boring system; an adjustable base provides other mounting arrangements. Confirm the complete fixture and clearance requirements.
