CNC Saddle Pipe Cutting Machines — Mathey

Mathey CNC saddle pipe cutting machines coordinate torch movement for programmed pipe profiles such as miters, saddles and openings. The MSA, 1SA and 2SA models cover nominal 1.5–12 in pipe across the range. Confirm the machine, torch, controller and software package for the intended cuts.

Programmed pipe profiles with a portable saddle machine

A Mathey CNC saddle pipe cutting machine combines circumferential movement with axial torch travel to produce selected profiles. The Windows-based control interface supports cut selection and machine movement. Torch and process compatibility must be checked for the proposed oxy-fuel or plasma setup.

Machine, software and computer configuration

The legacy package references below identify MSA, 1SA and 2SA machines, a three-machine set and software-only supply. The listed equipment includes the machine, adjustable torch arm and carrier, appropriate mounting spacers, operating documentation and storage container. A machine cutting torch is specified separately.

Confirm whether the quotation includes a laptop, software licence, drivers, interface cables and commissioning. Computer and software inclusions must be stated in the quotation. For existing equipment, check the supported operating system against the controller and software version rather than assuming compatibility with every newer Windows release.

The table describes the legacy geometry envelope. Choose the appropriate saddle model for each NPS and verify the programmed cut, torch clearance and available travel before machining. These angle values describe miter geometry, not a universal bevel-angle capability.

Request a CNC cutting setup

Send the pipe OD, wall thickness, material, profile drawing and torch or plasma power-source details. For a retrofit or software enquiry, include the machine serial number, controller and current software version. Compare motorized saddle machines for controlled circular travel and manual saddle machines for hand-cranked operation.
