External Pipe Alignment Clamps
External pipe alignment clamps for suitable pipe-to-pipe, elbow and flange fit-up. Compare three INT models by actual outside diameter, with forged steel construction and stainless steel alignment balls. Ask about stainless steel versions and larger-size requirements.
External pipe alignment clamps position the joint from outside the pipe, leaving the bore accessible. Adjustable contact points help with suitable pipe-to-pipe, pipe-to-elbow and pipe-to-flange fit-up.
INT clamp sizes and actual outside-diameter capacity
The model names describe nominal size groups. Select by the actual outside diameter using the published capacity below.
| Model | Nominal size group | Published OD capacity |
|---|---|---|
| INT1-3 | 1–3 inches | 3/4–3-1/2 inches |
| INT2-6 | 2–6 inches | 2–6-5/8 inches |
| INT6-12 | 6–12 inches | 6-5/8–13 inches |
Confirm the supplied model and available clearance around the joint. Elbow and flange geometry can affect access even when the pipe diameter is within the listed range.
Construction and contact points
The standard range uses forged steel with stainless steel alignment balls and large Acme adjustment threads. Forged stainless steel versions are available by request. Specify the workpiece material and surface requirements when choosing the construction.
Stainless contact points help limit marking, but clean handling and suitable contact surfaces remain necessary for stainless steel work. Do not assume that every part of a standard clamp is stainless steel.
Fit-up applications
Use these clamps for alignment during suitable welding preparation, fabrication and maintenance work. Support the pipe and fittings independently and follow the supplied clamp instructions for adjustment.
For an arrangement that grips inside the bore, compare internal pipe alignment clamps. Contact Justram with the outside diameter, joint geometry, material and access constraints to confirm the model, options and availability.
