Tri Tool PFM 816 Pipe Facing Machine

The Tri Tool PFM 816 PIPEMASTER is an ID-mounted hydraulic pipe facing and beveling machine for nominal 8–16 in pipe. Four tracking modules support end preparation, with a listed wall capacity of 1.6 in (40.6 mm). Select mounting pads and tooling from actual pipe dimensions.

Hydraulic end preparation with internal mounting

The PFM 816 PIPEMASTER uses an expanding internal mandrel to secure the machine for facing, beveling and suitably tooled counterboring. Dual hydraulic drives rotate the head, and hydraulic cylinders control rapid positioning and cutting feed. Four ID-tracking modules and a 4-inch mandrel shaft support the machining setup.

Nominal 8-inch pipe has a different actual OD from 8-inch tubing. Check bore diameter, outside diameter and wall together; the mounting range is not an OD cutting range. Heavier-wall applications require manufacturer procedure review.

Choose the mounting and tooling package

Send Justram the actual pipe dimensions, material, bevel drawing, available straight bore length and site power details. Identify any restriction near the pipe end. A custom short-perch mandrel and stainless steel jaw/guide-wheel options should be specified for the application rather than assumed included.

The listed machine has a chip guard with automatic shutoff. Verify guards, handling arrangements and setup against the supplied manual. Where external mounting better suits the pipe, compare the OD-mounted PFM 614 and its capacity.
