Desktop Weld Purge Monitor — PurgEye 500 Desk
PurgEye 500 Desk is a desktop weld purge monitor with an integral sampling pump and PurgeLog data logging. The listed measurement range is 1,000 to 10 ppm.
The PurgEye 500 Desk desktop weld purge monitor combines pumped sampling with recorded oxygen results for workshop and production use. This bench welding oxygen analyser is useful where a continuous free-flow sample is unavailable or a record of the monitored purge is required.
Desktop monitoring for production welding
The Argweld® PurgEye® 500 Weld Purge Monitor® is suited to ultra-clean weld conditions in LNG, food, semiconductor, pharmaceutical and other process-industry work. It is compact for desk or workshop use and includes automatic fault-finding diagnostics.
Pumped sampling and oxygen control
PurgEye 500 Desk measures from 1,000 ppm down to 10 ppm and includes an integral sampling pump. The electro-mechanical pump extracts purge-gas samples automatically when a constant exhaust-gas flow cannot be delivered across the sensor.
Operators can set high and low oxygen limits on the front panel. The monitor provides an internal alarm for a sudden oxygen increase or when the required oxygen level is reached. Readings can be shown in ppm or percentage.
Machine interface and process control
The large alphanumeric, menu-driven display is operated with four front-panel buttons. The supplied machine interface lead supports external alarm, high/low ppm settings and compatible welding-power-source switching. Confirm interface lead, control logic and power-source compatibility with Justram for an automated installation.
PurgeLog™ data logging and quality records
PurgeLog™ software is included for computer interfacing, data acquisition, storage and printing of results and graphs for quality-management purposes. The monitor has an RS232 serial port and includes a data connection cable. PurgeLog™ requires a Microsoft® Windows PC; confirm compatibility with your Windows version before purchase.
Data logging records the measured gas sample to support traceability; it does not independently certify a weld or establish zero oxygen.
Applications and sensor performance
The fast-response, long-life sensor has low maintenance requirements and electrical shielding to reduce interference. PurgEye 500 Desk is suitable for critical welding of stainless, duplex and chrome steels, titanium, zirconium, nickel and cobalt alloys.
Use it with welding chambers, Flexible Welding Enclosures®, orbital welding applications and pipe-weld purging systems.
