Touchscreen Weld Purge Monitor — PurgEye 600 Touch

The PurgEye 600 Touch touchscreen weld purge monitor brings oxygen measurement, a colour display and recorded results together for production and application-support work. Its internal sampling pump draws a gas sample for monitoring, while the touchscreen helps the operator follow readings during the weld.

All-in-one touchscreen oxygen monitoring

PurgEye® 600 Touch monitors oxygen from atmospheric concentration (20.94%) down to a 1 ppm display value; use 10 ppm as the manufacturer-specified accuracy threshold. Readings can be shown in ppm or percentage on a 3.2 in. (81 mm) computerised colour touchscreen with an on-screen graph of the current weld.

Its long-life sensor, stable measurement circuitry, internal sampling pump with gas filtration, quick-connect tube fittings and high-frequency interference protection support reliable process monitoring. High and low oxygen thresholds can be set from the front panel, with an internal alarm and automatic fault-finding diagnostics.

PurgeNet™ machine interface and process control

PurgeNet™ enables connection to compatible automated welding equipment and accessories. The user port provides two outputs to control compatible welding equipment or activate alarms when oxygen rises above the selected limit. Confirm the interface lead, control logic and equipment compatibility with Justram for your automated, orbital or mechanized welding process.

The monitor also supports weld start/stop control functions and external alarm accessories.

USB data transfer and PurgeLog™ quality records

Recorded oxygen results can be transferred through USB to a memory stick, without a computer connection at the point of welding. The real-time clock date-stamps quality-control records. PurgeLog™ software supports computer interfacing, data acquisition, storage and printing of results and graphs for quality-management purposes.

Data logging records the measured purge-gas sample; it does not independently certify a weld or establish zero oxygen.

PurgEye 600 Touch suits weld quality control in aerospace, semiconductor, pharmaceutical, vacuum, biotech, food and beverage applications where oxide-free welds are required. It is also appropriate for titanium, duplex and nickel alloys, high-specification stainless steels, orbital tube and pipe welding, and chamber welding of reactive alloys.
