Python Push-Pull MIG Welding Torch — MK Products

The MK Products Python push-pull MIG welding torch combines a torch-mounted wire drive with a compatible feeder for aluminum and other supported welding wires.

The MK Products Python gooseneck push-pull MIG welding torch is designed for production welding with a compatible wire feeder. The forward trigger and handle-mounted wire-speed control put adjustments at the torch, while the EZ-Lock barrel can be rotated to suit access.

Choose the lead length, cooling and feeder connection

The ordering references below cover the listed 7-pin MK, 7-pin Lincoln, 10-pin Miller and 9-pin Fronius configurations. Matching a connector count alone does not establish compatibility: provide the feeder model and torch connection details. Lincoln Power Feed 25M K2536-4 applications require an adapter-kit review.

Wire capacity and output

The 234/235-series manual lists a maximum wire speed of 800 ipm (20.3 m/min), 0.030–0.045 in. solid hard or cored wire, and 0.030–1/16 in. aluminum wire. Match the rolls, liner, barrel and tip to the selected wire.

Published ratings depend on barrel, cooling, shielding gas and duty cycle. MK’s catalogue lists the water-cooled Python at 400 A and 100% duty cycle; the 234/235 manual specifies 225 A air-cooled and 450 A water-cooled at 60% duty cycle using argon, with the specified water-cooled cable and cup. Confirm the rating and cooling requirements for the exact supplied configuration.

Python consumables and replacement parts

The following references distinguish standard, flex-barrel and spring-loaded tips, plus finned and flex-barrel cups. They are alternative configurations, not parts that all fit the same barrel. Identify the existing torch and barrel before ordering. Fully and partially water-cooled cup assemblies have separate component and cooling requirements; use the model manual for those assemblies.
