Tri Tool 301.5SP Tube Squaring Machine
The Tri Tool 301.5SP is a tube squaring machine for 0.125–1.500-inch OD tubing (3.2–38.1 mm), with walls up to 0.125 inch (3.2 mm). Its OD saddle system supports straight tube and suitable fittings for autogenous weld preparation. Choose standard or short-perch saddles and a corded or cordless electric drive.
Tube and fitting end preparation
The 301.5SP extends short-perch tube facing to 1.5-inch OD workpieces. Tool-free saddle changes help when moving between tube sizes, while transparent chip guards provide visibility around the cutting area. A cam-operated feed advances the squaring bit and retracts it when released.
Range and clamping requirements
| Specification | Listed value |
|---|---|
| Tube outside diameter | 0.125–1.500 in (3.2–38.1 mm), with suitable saddles |
| Maximum listed wall thickness | 0.125 in (3.2 mm), subject to material and tooling |
| Standard saddle straight gripping length | 0.600 in (15.2 mm) |
| Short-perch saddle straight gripping length | 0.190 in (4.8 mm), with the appropriate saddle |
| Axial feed travel | 0.200 in (5.1 mm) |
| Drive choices | 18 V cordless or corded electric |
| Listed corded electrical requirements | 9.6 A at 110 V or 4.8 A at 220 V, 50/60 Hz; verify supplied motor |
Clamping length is one part of the required clearance. Provide the fitting drawing and available space around the cutter so the saddle and guard arrangement can be checked.
Nominal pipe size guide
The model guide lists the following pipe sizes. Confirm actual OD, wall thickness and saddle compatibility before selecting the machine.
- 1/8, 1/4 and 3/8-inch nominal pipe: within the listed 0.125-inch wall limit.
- 1/2 and 3/4-inch nominal pipe: schedules 5 through 40.
- 1-inch nominal pipe: schedules 5S and 10S.
Package, material and bench setup
Specify the material, including stainless steel, carbon steel, chrome alloys, copper, copper-nickel or aluminium, along with the required end finish. Select the facing bit for the material and operation. The package description lists a DURABIT, case and manual; confirm the saddle, guard, motor, battery and charger included in your quotation.
A bench stand is optional. For cordless units, specify the charger supply. Machine weight varies with motor and battery generation; ask Justram to confirm the assembled package weight for the intended portable or bench setup.
