Justram supplies weld-purging, oxygen-monitoring and shielding equipment for titanium fabrication. Select the equipment around the joint geometry, required atmosphere control, welding process and documentation requirements. Our team can help match the system to manual TIG, orbital welding, automated welding or enclosed work.

Measure oxygen and moisture before welding

Titanium welding applications may require measurement of residual oxygen in purge gas and, where relevant, moisture control. Select a monitor based on the needed measurement range, sampling method, portability, data handling and machine-interface requirements.

Purge titanium tube and pipe welds

For tube, pipe and vessel joints, reduce the purge volume around the joint with the appropriate inflatable purge system, purge dam, plug or water-soluble barrier. Confirm the actual inside diameter, wall thickness, temperature, joint access and required weld clearance before selection.

Protect the weld face and heat-affected zone

Protecting the root alone may not be enough for titanium. A trailing shield extends inert-gas coverage behind the torch while the weld and adjacent metal cool.

Argweld Weld Trailing Shields are available for flat, external-radius and internal-radius work. Justram stocks standard trailing shields from 1 to 12 inches; contact us for application-specific configurations.

Create an inert welding environment

For complex, small or highly reactive fabrications, an enclosure can provide local inert-gas coverage around the welding operation.

Flexible Welding Enclosures are a practical option for controlled local welding environments. For larger or critical work, contact Justram to discuss chamber or custom-enclosure requirements.

Manual, orbital and automated welding support

Justram also supplies orbital-welding equipment, TIG-welding products, tungsten electrodes, tungsten grinding equipment, tube squaring and pipe-alignment equipment. For automated titanium welding, the PurgEye 200 machine interface can provide an oxygen-threshold signal to support process interlock arrangements.
